Consider the following:
Not all Zionists are Jewish
Not all Jewish people are Zionists
Not all Jewish people are anti-Palestinian
Not all Jewish people support Bibi, expansionism or mistreatment of Palestinians
Not all Zionists support Bibi, expansionism or mistreatment of Palestinians
Not all Israelis are Jewish
Not all Israelis are Zionist
Not all Israelis support Bibi, expansionism or mistreatment of Palestinians
Not all Israelis are anti-Palestinian
Israel is not a democracy with direct representation.
Israelis vote for parties and then MKs (Members of Knesset, the Israeli parliament) are chosen off of a list the party makes.
Not all MKs are Jewish.
Israel is not a theocracy.
So please explain to me how it is logical to hold the whole of the Jewish people accountable for the actions of Bibi and Israel’s political and military elite? Do you hold all citizens responsible for the actions of their head of government? Does it make sense to?
Other things to consider:
Israel has military conscription and generation after generation of people trained to see Arabs as enemies and considering how young the State is, you can imagine how fresh the memory is of the many wars and many losses that scar the Israeli psyche which, while definitely not an excuse, can explain how difficult it is to even consider being a conscientious objector. Not to mention that until recently, your military service had a huge impact on your career post-conscription and how difficult it is to keep your head above water in Israel. Surprise! Not all Israelis are rich!
And I say this is a non-Zionist.
